Sea Kings Freshmen Lose Middle Game of Series to Chargers

April 23, 2025

The Sea Kings Freshmen were overwhelmed by the Edison Chargers 18-1 on Wednesday in a game that saw sixteen Chargers hits amplified by a half dozen Sea Kings errors.

The Sea Kings tallied their sole run of the game in the bottom of the second inning. Tait Weissman (‘28) started the inning by drawing a walk and advanced to third base on Luke Kittleson’s (‘28) single to right field. With Jackson Lawrence (‘28) at the plate, an error on a pickoff attempt to first base allowed Weissman to score.

Weissman reached base twice for the Sea Kings with a single and a walk, and extended his on-base streak to seven games as a result. Weissman also swiped a base and scored a run during Wednesday’s game.

Brody Majit (‘28) was the other Sea King to reach base multiple times, as he drew two free passes. Majit took advantage of his time on the bath paths to steal a base, as well.

Lawrence stretched his on-base streak to seven games when he drew a walk in the fourth inning.

Kittleson’s on-base streak reached double digits at ten games thanks to his second inning single.

The Sea Kings Freshmen travel to Edison on Friday, April 25 to take on the Chargers for the final time this season.
